Introduction Hello! I’m Jinny (Thammaporn Sueapaitoon), or you can simply call me Jin. I currently work as a Data Analyst at Teo Hong Silom Co., Ltd. My main responsibilities involve extracting, transforming, and analyzing data using SQL to support marketing strategies and campaigns for clients in the telecommunications sector. This is my very first job after graduation.
I graduated from the Faculty of Applied Science at King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok, majoring in Data Science and Statistical Analysis.
My Start in the World of Data My interest in data actually began back when I was choosing my university major. At that time, “Data Science” wasn’t widely known in Thailand yet, but I noticed a growing demand for it abroad. I started researching the field and stumbled upon the “Data Scientist” career path. I felt a spark and decided I wanted to explore and learn more about this journey.
During my third year, I truly got to touch the world of data through various courses, specifically the Database class where I used SQL for the first time. It felt like opening up a whole new world. That was the moment I knew for sure that I wanted to work in this field.
Experience Beyond the Classroom During university, I worked part-time as a Barista at Midsummer Cafe & Roastery. It was an experience I loved because it taught me so much. Beyond coffee and service skills, I learned empathy, communication, teamwork, punctuality, and the value of responsibility and effort when doing things I wasn’t naturally good at. These became the soft skills that stay with me today.
I also had the opportunity to work part-time with Co-Connect. This was a different kind of experience that allowed me to learn new technical skills, such as Social Listening and Gen AI. It ensured that I never stopped learning and developing myself.
Who I Am Today If there is one word that reflects who I am best, it is “Perseverance.” I believe that small, intentional efforts made every day can turn the impossible into reality.
For example, when I was young, I desperately wanted to play the guitar but couldn’t buy one yet. So, I drew a guitar neck on a piece of plastic board and practiced fingering chords so I would be ready when I finally got a real one. When that day came, I played it with joy.
Or back in school, I used to dislike Mathematics. But when I chose to face the challenge, I practiced problems repeatedly every day. eventually, I turned failing grades into scores I was proud of—and I even ended up liking Math.
Every experience has led me to believe that while effort might not make everything perfect, it makes every step of our journey meaningful—and that is the most beautiful thing of all.
